Invitation to join Progressive Independent Media
Collective
Last Tuesday, a group of
producers met and continued to formalize a working relationship with the
intent to produce some quality independent media to stop the bleeding of the
body of truth.
There are a few people from KPFK Pacifica Radio, a couple of producers from
Air America Radio, an experienced director and producer of film and DVD
distribution, a documentary film maker who works at HBO, a film maker making
a film on Archbishop Desmond Tutu and works for Society of Friends, people
that have produced scores of local progressive TV shows, amongst others.
We have already put together a couple of projects through this group
including shooting interviews at a Coalition Against Militarism in our
Schools fundraiser, and the debut broadcast of a local television show
called "The Forum" co-hosted by Russell Doherty and Byron De Lear.
We encourage new members and would like to invite you all to check out what
we've got cooking. There is Media Groups Forum that has several threads for
moving this progressive independent media collective forward.
